Plain and simple: your photos and details are used to evaluate your collection — nothing else.
What we collect
When you submit a collection for evaluation, we collect photos of your card collection, your name, your email address, and — only if you decide to sell — your shipping address so we can arrange insured delivery of your cards.
You may also optionally provide a phone number and your ZIP code. Your phone number is only used to contact you about your submission, in the way you prefer.
How we use it
We use your photos and answers for one purpose only: evaluating and purchasing your Pokémon card collection. Your photos let us see what you have; your contact details let us reach you with an offer if we're interested.
If you accept an offer, we share your name and shipping address with the shipping carrier handling your insured shipment. That is the only circumstance in which your information leaves our hands.
What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties except the shipping carrier described above.
Your photos and contact details are never published or listed publicly. Submissions are private between you and us.
We do not send marketing emails unrelated to your submission, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
How your information is protected
Photos you upload are stored securely and are not publicly accessible — they can only be viewed by us as part of reviewing your submission.
Access to submission details, photos, and offers is restricted to Card Scout.
How long we keep it
If we make an offer and you decline, or you don't hear back, your submission may be retained for a reasonable period in case you'd like to revisit it later. If you'd like your submission and photos deleted sooner, just ask — see below.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to delete your photos and submission details, or to stop contacting you. Reply to any message we've sent you, or reach out through the submission form, and we'll take care of it.
